Brief History of the Institute : Every great happening starts from a small but genius idea. With such an idea Gurukul was formed under guidance and mentorship of renowned academicians of West Bengal and India to impart quality education for higher studies for the students of Eastern India. Accordingly the Trust was constituted and formed with the objective of providing education, training, consultancy and research.
Gurukul Edutech is promoted & governed by Gurukul Edutech Education & Research Foundation Trust , which is a non Government , independent Educational Institution constituted as Public Charitable Trust vide no IV/00462/2014 , 06309/2014 registered and approved by Government of West Bengal which started its journey long back . From our humble beginning as an organisation offering Skill Development courses on various domains like Agriculture , aquaculture , Fishery Food & Nutrition , Corporate System Management , Rural Development Banking & Non Banking Financial Product sales , Nursing , Business Process Outsourcing ( Voice and non Voice ) , Retail, Logistics Management, Hotel and hospitality Management , Business and Commerce and Competitive Exam Preparatory courses on MCA entrance , NET SET etc in West Bengal , it has grown to become a substantial and influential organization at the heart of skills development & higher Education and holistic social development in critical knowledge skills not only in West Bengal but also in other states .
Gurukul Edutech Education & Research Foundation Trust was set up by a group of academicians, engineer and social workers to offer affordable, practical, professional training of the highest quality with a mission and target to set up highest quality Institute and College & R&D Centre in diversified field of Agriculture , food & nutrition , Rural Development , Biotechnology, medical , Environment , Sociology so that it can come out with feasible solution for the society addressing the critical global problems.
The Agriculture and Fishery Education division was launched on the auspicious occasion of Teachers Day (05th September ) with the blessings and mentorship of greatest academicians of Bengal , India & our mentors Prof A S Kolaskar ( Honourable Former Vice Chancellor Pune University & KIIT & member National Knowledge Commission ) ; Prof D J Chattopadhyaya (Honourable Former Pro Vice Chancellor Calcutta University) , Prof Basab Chaudhuri (Honourable Vice Chancellor , West Bengal State University) , Prof Sankar Ghosh (Honourable Vice Chancellor Kalyani University) , Prof Tanmoy Rudra ( Honble Executive Secretary Confederation of Indian Universities ) , Prof Madhu Krishnan (Honourable Chancellor & Chairman AUGP, USA & Presidential Award Winner USA) and Prof Dr J . K . Datta ( Honourable former Director & H.O.D , Rural Technology & Dept of Environmental Science , The University of Burdwan former Vice Principal Agriculture College , Viswabharati University ). We were blessed to have the blessings for starting this institute from His Excellency Honourable Governor of West Bengal Sri Keshari Nath Tripathy .
